Sometimes it happens that my mind gets very crowded with thoughts jumping one on top of the other, and all of a sudden I feel a bit overwhelmed.
Does this ever happen to you?
If it does, today I want to share with you a little breathing technique that I find very helpful.
All you have to do is to make a first effort to bring all your attention to your breath.
The wild thoughts roaming your mind will try to push their way back in, but you keep on going back to your breath.
And then you start counting: 3 times for the in-breath, 3 times for the out-breath.
After a while, when that starts to become easier, try to bring your count to 4: 4 times for the in-breath, 4 times for the out-breath.
Can you maybe bring your count to 5?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...
